How to Add a Scrolling Announcement

1.
To add a new event or announcement to the News Ticker click on the drop down arrow to the left of the Scrolling Announcements box.

2. Scroll down the menu to Manage News Items and click on it.

A new window showing the news properties will pop up and ask for the News Information. To edit a News Item choose the name of the News Item to edit.  To add a new News Item scroll down to New News Item on the News Item box.  In the News Title box add the name of the announcement as shown below.

4.

An expiration date must be entered in the Expire Date box.  The current date can be added to the scrolling announcement by clicking the Add Date box.

5. The Text Box at the bottom of the form is where to type what will show up on the Scrolling Announecement.

6. Once the announcement or event has been created, save the information by clicking the Update/Add News Item button at the bottom of the screen.

7. Now the event or announcement will show up on the Scrolling Announcements module.
