Please note: Not all websites have the ability to add Live Content themselves. Some sites must open a help desk ticket.
Adding Live Content to your website is very easy to do. There are several steps involved.
Go to the page that you want to add the slideshow to.
Go to your "Page Functions" and click "Add".
This page that you are adding will be where you insert your pictures for your slideshow. It will be hidden to the public and you should name it according to the page that your slideshow is on.
Within your "Basic Settings" 1) Give the page a name and 2) title. 3) Make sure that the parent page is the page that the slideshow will be located on. 4) Leave the box checked for including it in the menu since this entire page is only viewable to CM Admins and other roles you select.
In the permissions area, make the page viewable only to CM Admins and any others that will be adding pictures to the slideshow.
Click "Update".
Now that the page is created, you will now add the "Live Content" module.
You should see the image below after adding the module.
Click "Add Element".
1) Click "Browse" and it will open a window on your computer to select your pictures.
2) Give your picture a title.
3) Click "Update" to save your picture.
4) Continue adding pictures until you have them all uploaded.
Navigate to the page that you want your slideshow to be located on.
Add the module named " Live Content Slideshow" to the page.
The empty module will look like the image below. Click "Configure Slideshow".
A settings page will appear.
1) Use the pull down menu under "Live Content Module" to select the correct content for your slideshow. If you only have one added, it will show that one in your menu.
2) Under "Show Element Types" click the box next to "ePicture".
Under Basic Settings,
1) Choose your background color by clicking inside the box and your color options will pop up. Use your mouse to grab the circle within the color box and move it to the color you desire. Then click the circle with the "x" in it. Your new color should populate your background color box with its hexidecimal code.
2) Adjust your width to suit where it is located. You may need to set it and then view the end result a few times before you make your final decision as to the width of the slideshow.
3) Adjust your height the same way as your width described above.
4) Rotate time is the number of seconds between the images, the higher the number, the longer the seconds.
5) Leave the box next to "shuffle" clicked if you want your images to shuffle.
6) Remove the check from the box next to "Link From Display". You do not want it to link from the display.
Under "Appearance Settings",
1) Choose what type of transition you would like.
2) Click "Update" when you are finished.
Your slideshow should now be playing the images you previously inserted on the Live Content module.
